As much as the large, ambitious statement pieces like the Eli that released just before this have solidified my love for Alter, overall simpler figures like Hanayo and Rin highlight the company's attention to detail--like the difference in body types--that sometimes got lost in those extravagant idol dresses. Alter chose a uniquely precious facial expression and color scheme for Hanayo here. The figure just feels alive in a way one just doesn't see with figures from other manufacturers.
