Monster Hunter is an iconic Japanese RPG series that has players control an incredibly skilled hunter that can take down giant monsters that are many times larger and stronger than they are. Many fans of the series love it for its incredible amount of different playstyles and customization that allows them to fight various monsters that roam the land in many different ways. Although each game has its own unique enemies, there are a number of recurring monsters that appear in most Monster Hunter games, making them rather popular. Some of these monsters also appear as merchandise, as fans would love to own a number of their unique designs to display in their collection. A rather popular form of merchandise is plushies, which take the intimidating, menacing monsters and turns them into soft, adorable collectibles. Sometimes, these plushies are grouped and sold as collections. Monster Hunter Plush Collection Vol. 7
This collection of plushies includes three different plushies to choose from: a Silver Rathalos, a Gold Rathian, and a Stygian Zinogre. Rathalos are giant male flying dragon-like creatures that appear in many iterations of the Monster Hunter series. The silver variant of the monster is incredibly rare and powerful when compared to the average Rathalos, though this plushie should cause no harm. Gold Rathians are very similar to the Silver Rathalos, but are female instead of male. Its rare gold color notes that it is incredibly difficult to beat, but offers a great slew of rewards if a hunter can beat it. On the other hand, the Stygian Zinogre is a variation of a completely different kind of monster, the Zinogre. This creature is silver and red in color and is covered in spikes from head to tail. Two large silver horns are also placed on top of its head, further adding to its arsenal of weapons. Each plushie in this collection is made with polyester and has big, bright eyes that are embroidered onto the plushie.

Monster Hunter Plush Collection Vol. 4
This plushie collection offers three adorable plushie monsters, including Beotodus, Glavenus, and Tigrex. The purple Beotodus plushie shows off the monster’s giant horn and fins. It even has some of its body covered with snow, just like in the game. Although its teeth are still sharp and pointy, the plushie’s big eyes tone down its normally menacing appearance quite a bit. The Glavenus plushie has a unique black, red, and yellow design that is covered in many spikes, especially on its head. The most notable feature of this monster is its giant tail, which it often uses to cleave through anything that stands in its way. Finally, the Tigrex plushie has a striking blue and yellow design that features its bat-like wings that stretch all the way across its front arms. Though this monster is known for its deafening roar, if this plushie could speak, it would probably only be able to let out an adorable whimper. Each one of these plushies is also made with polyester to give it a soft and cuddly texture.

Monster Hunter Mochi Cute Plush Collection Vol. 5
This collection of plushies feature another variety of three monsters, but also includes a large Barrel Bomb to choose from as well. The monsters in this collection include Yian Kut-Ku, Vaal Hazak, and Great Jagras. The Yian Kut-Ku is a large, bird-lizard like monster with wings, deadly talons, frills around its neck and head, and a massive beak. The plushie version of the monster is colored mainly yellow and pink, though there are accents of red and blue as well. The next plushie features the Elder Dragon, Vaal Hazak. This immensely powerful creature is turned into a small, squishable plushie that features its dull gray body that is covered in toxic, dark red Effluvium. The Great Jagras is one of the first monsters players can fight in Monster Hunter World. This plushie features its yellow color, long hair, and its wide mouth that it uses to eat other monsters whole. The fourth plushie in this collection, the large Barrel Bomb, is a consumable item from the series that is often used to cause a significant amount of damage to a monster. It looks just like a normal barrel, but it has a fuse sticking out the top to light it on fire.

About Plushies
“Plushie” is a term that is often used to refer to a doll, pillow, or accessory that is often made with soft fabrics and stuffed with materials like polyester to give them a squishy feel that can be enjoyed by all ages. Oftentimes, manufacturers will create multiple plushies of characters from a given series and sell them in collections, much like those listed above. This allows fans to either pick and choose which characters they want, while more avid collectors can order the entire collection at once. Plushies can also come in many different shapes and sizes. Many of them are shaped like dolls to recreate the character as accurately as plushies will allow, while others can take the form of cushions and pillows to give them a more functional use. While they can make great decorations for one’s room, some plushies can also be used as toys as well.
