About Sailor Moon

Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon, (Often shortened to Sailor Moon) is a manga and anime series that ran TV in the 90’s. Naoko Takeuchi created the series about a middle school student named Usagi Tsukino (Serena in the original DiC dub), who discovers that she is actually a magical warrior named Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon and four other Sailor Guardians Sailor Venus, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, and Sailor Jupiter, come together to defend Earth from evil. The original series includes 200 episodes, three feature films, five specials, and five recap episodes called memorials. After the original anime series aired, there were two reboots: one live-action tv show and later Sailor Moon Crystal.

Sailor Moon gained popularity world-wide. At first, this anime was planned to run only for six months, but as it became a national phenomenon, they extended the series and had it run for a whole five years instead. Sailor Moon went on to win the Animage Anime Grand Prix prize in 1993.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Petite Étrangère is the 2nd musical made by Nelke Planning and is the 31st Sailor Moon musical overall. The storyline focuses primarily on the Black Moon arc, the storyline focused on the second season of both Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon Crystal anime series. The Black Moon arc focuses on the five Sailor Soldiers and their fight against Queen Metealia and the Black Moon Clan. Sailor Pluto, Chibusa, and the Black Lady are featured characters in the series are also featured in the musical. The musical was written and directed by Takuya Hiramitsu. The musical was performed in Tokyo and Osaka from August 21st to September 7th, 2015.
